30 Never Tasted So Sweet...In Pictures.

I have been in love with Balloons for about 6 years now.  I always liked balloons, but one Valentine's I was given a 1/2 dozen red and pink heart  balloons instead of flowers.  I fell in love that day with balloons.  They always make me ridiculously happy.
What better way to celebrate "Birthday Week" than with red and pink balloons.

To Market, To Market

This past Saturday I debuted my cakeball business at the Downtown Farmers Market.  It was amazing, exhausting, exciting, fun, and did I mention exhausting?!   I loved every second of it, but I'll go over the highlights.
I felt so blessed to have such amazing friends show up to support me in this endeavour; Jana helped me all day and then Jessica, Amy, Stacy, Matt, Dan F and so many of his friends, Gabalicious and Indi.  This string of people kept me going.  I loved talking with people, at one point I mentioned I had a day job, he asked me what I do for a living.  So I told him about my day job and then said " and "I Hustle my cakeballs on the side."  That is exactly what I did. I totally Hustled.  Every person that walked by I smiled and attempted to engage them in conversation about my cakeballs.  I was amazed at how that is really all it took.  By the end of the day I was beat, but I had a really cute guy start talking with me.  I mentioned that my Cap'n Crunch cakeball was my original ccreation, which is hard to do these days.  He looked me square in the eyes, smiled, and said " I seriously doubt you have a hard time being original."  For whatever reason, his comment completely made my day.    I'm hoping he comes back for another cakeball.  I will be back at the market Next Saturday July 23rd.  Stop by my booth and say hi.

I Needed This-6 Secrets of Skinny People

This morning I got up before the sun to get to my trainers by 6am.  As I drove to her gym, I retraced my weekend in my mind and winced a few times.
At week 4 of the competition, I was in the lead again. So this weekend I thought...I can cheat a little, this cookie wont make a big difference.  But that one cookie Friday night turned into a weekend worth of cheats.
So with Heidi by my side, I stepped on her scale.  It didnt lie, I gained a 1/2 LBS.  A half a pound isnt anything to get my panies in a bunch over and isnt going to keep me from winning this competition, but it just reaffirms what I already knew. Eating un-processed, nutritiously rich foods makes me feel good and helps my body run properly.  Eating that weekend worth of cheats gave me nothing but regret.

As if Livestrong.com knew exactly what I needed, they sent me an email newsletter this morning.  The top article was 6 Secrets of Skinny People.
I loved it so Im going to share the highlights:
1.) Always Be Prepared.
2.) Snack When You’re Hungry.
3.) Be Calorie Conscious.
4.) Indulge & Then Get Back on Track-  (Ding, ding, ding...I really needed this one.)

5.) Do Something Daily

6.) Stay the Course

So today I am getting back on track.  Letting go of the regret and just moving forward.
